Egg-citingly Good, Good, Good!




EGGS!!!! Every each of us has tasted eggs. Eggs have been the common food for us. They’re traditionally eaten for breakfast but you can eat it on breakfast, lunch and dinner, whichever time you prefer. It’s very easy to cook and the taste is as good as ever. Oh, wait. Why are you smiling? Hey, the eggs that I’m talking about are the eggs laid by hens. Anyway, going back, since eggs are a common dish to all people. They created a lot of ways to cook it. And these dishes tastes egg-citingly good, good, good!

Common ways to cook Eggs:


1.       Sunny Side Up
Sunny Side Up is everybody’s favorite. And this is the most common way to cook an egg. How it’s done? Fry the egg on one side only. Diners usually serve their egg sunny side up.

 
2.       Scrambled
Scrambled is the second most commonly used process to cook eggs. To scramble the eggs, the eggs’ yolks and whites should be beaten together and stirred frequently. It should be cooked to a firm and soft consistency.
 
3.       Poached
Poached is where the egg is cracked into a bowl of any size, and the eggs are slid into a pan of simmering water and cooked until the egg white has mostly been cooked, however, the yolk should remain soft.

4.       Hard-boiled
Hard-boiled is also a typical way to cook an egg. It’s like poached egg, only with this one, you will boil the egg with their shells un-cracked.
 
5.       Omelette
Omelette is a dish made from beaten eggs. It is cooked with butter or oil in a frying pan. And it is usually folded around a filling such as vegetables, ham, beef and cheese.

More ways to crack an egg:


 
a.       Soufflé
A light, fluffy baked dish made with egg yolks and beaten egg whites combined with various other ingredients.

 
b.      Deviled Egg
Halved hard-cooked egg with the yolk mashed with mayo and seasonings, and then returned to the egg white.

c.       Salmon & Egg Roll Ups
This is an Italian recipe that usually refers to a meat or a fish rolled up with stuffing and then sliced. It looks like a sushi. And for this recipe, you make the stuffing, an egg.

d.      Corn and Eggs
This dish is very easy to make. First you need to scramble eggs. Second, you microwave a canned corn, and then mix it up with a big pad of butter, some salt and pepper. Then nestle it all together.

e.      Eggs Benedict
Eggs Benedict are poached eggs on an English muffin with ham or bacon covered in a hollandaise sauce.

f.        Tortilla/Frittata Omelette
This dish is made of conventional potatoes, toasted garlic and onion, roasted peppers, grilled chorizo and beaten eggs.

g.       Eggs Shaken
You do not actually shake the eggs, you just crack two eggs and gently pour them into a skillet so as not to break them. And then, you need to sprinkle wheat germ and freshly grated parmesan cheese. You need to add ground pepper and salt.


h.      Poached Eggs on Grits
All you have to do is combine grits and water in a saucepan. And add salt, pepper and a dab of butter. Then, top it with the poached egg.

i.        Croque Madame
Croque Madame is a grilled cheese and smoked ham sandwich topped with a sunny side up egg. Really delicious-looking!

j.        Eggs and Anchovies
Eggs and Anchovies is a dish of halved boiled eggs on a platter mixed with mayo, water, Tabasco, ketchup, chives and capers, topped with an anchovy on each egg.

k.       Oeufs Mollets Florentine
This is a dish of poached eggs with spinach, covered in Mornay sauce.

l.        Baked Spaghetti Eggs
Try it by using leftover spaghetti, mixed with 4 scrambled eggs and a little milk, topped with steamed cauliflower and cheese.

m.    Baked Eggs & Mushroom in Ham Crisps
A dish made of baked eggs and mushroom (baked separately). The baked eggs and mushrooms are later on combined with cooked mushrooms, ham, butter, pepper and salt.
